La Manufacture, musée de la Mémoire et de la création textile

In an authentic industrial setting, the noise of machines operating before your eyes immerses you in the world of textile factories. Technical evolution, innovation, and testimonies of workers will help you understand the past, present and future of the entire metropolitan-area textile industry. Throughout the year, the Manufacture hosts temporary exhibitions (photo, textile design, visual arts…) that offer a contemporary artistic perspective on textiles and extend the discovery of the museum. La Piscine, Musée d'Art et d'Industrie André Diligent

Old swimming pool built by Albert Baert between 1927 and 1932 in an Art Deco style, restored as a museum in 2001 and enlarged in 2018 by Jean-Paul Philippon, La Piscine offers the richness of its collections of paintings, sculptures and applied arts in this place which was considered for more than fifty years as "the most beautiful swimming pool of France". Metro Ligne 2, stop : Gare Jean Lebas. Open Tuesday to Thursday from 11am to 6pm, Friday from 11am to 8pm and the weekend from 1pm to 6pm. Closed on Mondays and some bank holidays.
