Maison natale Charles de Gaulle

Now a museum, the "Maison natale Charles de Gaulle" recreates the atmosphere of a typical late 19th century home of the northern French industrial middle classes. The exhibited family keepsakes and personal objects are a reminder of de Gaulle’s younger days. A multimedia centre also looks back over the great statesman’s historic work. Audioguide included. Bus line 14, 50 or 56, stop Les Bateliers - or Shuttle Old Lille (ask the stop in front of the museum). Open Wednesday to Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm, Sunday from 1:30 am to 6 pm. Closed Monday, Tuesday, 01/01, 01/05, 1st weekend of September (Braderie) and 25/12.
